North Branford, CT (March 23, 2021) – On Monday evening, March 22, a man was killed in a fatal crash that took place at an intersection in North Branford.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of Foxon Road and Sea Hill Road. The accident allegedly took place when a passenger vehicle and a moped collided after entering the intersection at the same time.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The operator of the moped, identified as 18-year-old Jonathan Boughton, was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital and pronounced dead while there.

The driver of the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The roadway was closed for several hours in the area of the intersection.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
