Waterbury, CT (April 7, 2021) – At 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning, April 7, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on a roadway in Waterbury.

According to the Waterbury Police Department, the collision happened at 393 Thomaston Avenue. The accident occurred when a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided in the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The male motorcyclist sustained traumatic head injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

Police continue their investigation into the collision.
