Seymour, CT (April 22, 2021) – Around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, April 21, a serious and fatal accident occurred on a roadway in Seymour.

According to officials, the accident happened on Roosevelt Drive between the area of Buckingham Road and River Bend Road. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when, for reasons unknown, the two collided head-on into each other. The accident led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Three victims in one of the vehicles died at the scene. They were identified as two adult women and a toddler.

The driver of the other involved vehicle was pulled out of their car by fire crews. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to Bridgeport Hospital.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
