Stamford, CT (May 10, 2021) – At 11 p.m. on Friday night, a serious car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Stamford.

According to police, the collision happened on Courtland Avenue. A 42-year-old Uber driver was attempting to make a left turn in a Honda when a 21-year-old in an Infiniti came up behind the vehicle and the two vehicles collided. The Honda was pushed for an extended period of time down the road.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Both drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment. The 21-year-old male has since been listed in critical condition, while the Uber driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
