Plainville, CT – Officer Killed in Motorcycle Accident on S Main St

Plainville, CT (May 19, 2021) – At 3 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, May 18, an officer was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in Plainville.

According to officials, the accident happened on South Main Street around the area of Cook Street. A pickup truck was preparing to make a left turn when it struck the motorcycle, which was headed south.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The officer, identified as 40-year-old Brian Cybulski, was severely injured and rushed to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He tragically succumbed to his injuries while there.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
