Bristol, CT (March 11, 2021) – Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday night, March 10, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash at a Bristol intersection.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of CT-72 and Lincoln Avenue. A pedestrian was crossing the street at the intersection when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The pedestrian, identified as 19-year-old Benjamin Guinen, was initially flown to Hartford Hospital with severe injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
