N Haven, CT – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Involving Train on Washington Ave

North Haven, CT (June 14, 2021) – On Sunday evening, June 13, a fatal pedestrian accident involving a train occurred in North Haven.

According to North Haven Police, the accident happened on the railroad tracks in the area of 300 Washington Avenue. An unidentified pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by an Amtrak train traveling in the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.

Due to the severity of the crash, rail services were delayed for several hours.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
