South Windsor, CT (December 11, 2020) – Around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, December 10, a teen was killed in a fatal car accident in South Windsor.

According to State Police, the accident occurred on I-291. Police confirmed that 18-year-old Antonio Tedeschi was driving in the westbound lanes of the highway when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the right side of the highway. The vehicle struck several trees.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Tedeschi and his passenger, 22-year-old Darius Fleeting, were both injured and taken to the hospital but they are expected to be okay.

Another passenger, identified as a 17-year-old male, was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries. He tragically passed away while there.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision continues.
