West Hartford, CT (January 24, 2021) – Around 10 p.m. on Saturday night, January 23, one person was killed in a fatal house fire in West Hartford.

According to officials, the fire broke out at a home on 45 Elmfield Street due to reasons that are not yet known. Fire crews were immediately dispatched to the scene where they brought the fire under control and searched the home.

Paramedics were called to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries caused by the fire. One person was hospitalized with injuries caused by the fire.

The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
