New Haven, CT (March 18, 2021) – On Thursday, March 18, a fatal pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in New Haven.

According to New Haven Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Chapel Street and Temple Street. A pedestrian was crossing the street at the intersection when they were struck by a vehicle traveling through the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is believed that the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
