Bristol, CT (January 17, 2021) – On Saturday, January 16, a serious pedestrian accident took place on a major roadway in Bristol.

According to police, the accident took place on US-6 around the area of Oakland Street and Page Avenue. A pedestrian was allegedly crossing the street when they were struck by a passenger vehicle for reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were present at the scene of the accident. They assisted the pedestrian with injuries, though the extent of their injures is not yet known.

The highway was closed in the area as police worked for several hours to clear the scene.
