East Haven, CT (May 6, 2021) – At 2:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, May 6, a school bus with injuries occurred in East Haven.

According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Main Street and Boston Post Road. The accident happened when a school bus and a minivan collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The driver of the van, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries. No students on the school bus received injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
