Hartford, CT (April 28, 2021) – Around 12:30 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 25, a victim’s life was taken in a fatal tractor-trailer crash in Hartford.

According to police, the accident happened on Fraser Place when a vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided. When police arrived, they found that a Nissan Pathfinder and an unoccupied tractor-trailer collided with each other.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were present at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 39-year-old Blanchard Baisden, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 36-year-old woman was taken to Hartford Hospital with life-threatening injuries while two passengers were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
