Manchester, CT (April 21, 2021) – Around midnight on Wednesday morning, April 21, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred on a major highway in Manchester.

According to State Police, the accident happened on I-384 just west of Exit 4. Police arrived at the scene to find a woman lying on the roadway who had been struck by a vehicle. The vehicle allegedly fled the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the area. The 22-year-old Columbia woman was found with traumatic injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but her current condition is not yet known.

Police are still searching for the grey Honda Civic that struck the woman. They believe that it could be missing a passenger’s side mirror or have damage to the wheels.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
