Middletown, CT (November 27, 2020) – On Friday, November 27, four people were injured in a car crash in Middletown.

Middletown Police confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of CT-9 and Hartford Avenue when a Chevrolet Malibu and a Kia Sorrento collided due to reasons that are not yet known.

Paramedics and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Occupants who were inside both of the vehicles were trapped and rescued by fire crews. One person in the Kia was transported to the hospital. Three people inside of the Chevrolet were taken to the hospital, two of whom were children.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
