Stamford, CT (June 8, 2021) – At 11:23 p.m. on the night of Sunday, June 6, a pedestrian hit-and-run accident took place on a roadway in Stamford.

According to the Stamford Police Department, the accident happened on Wilston Street in the area of I-95. A pedestrian was allegedly crossing the street when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle in the area. The vehicle driver did not remain at the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were called to the scene. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as a 45-year-old resident from the area, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Police have not yet found the driver responsible for the accident. No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
