Vernon, CT (November 29, 2020) – On Friday night, November 27, a fatal motorcycle accident took place on a roadway in Vernon.

According to the Vernon Police Department, the accident happened at 404 Talcottville Road when a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided in the area due to reasons that are not yet known. The accident took place between Wilshire and Merline and led to extensive damages to the motorcycle.

Paramedics and fire crews were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was supposed to originally be airlifted to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries. However, they were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision continues.
