Waterbury, CT (December 2, 2020) – Around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, November 29, two women were killed in a fatal collision in Waterbury.

Police confirmed that 40-year-old Jenny Moyet-Vazquez was driving her Hyundai when it collided with a Lexus on CT-8 for reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved were badly damaged.

Moyet-Vazquez and a woman identified as 31-year-old Samara Fulton both died due to severe injuries caused by the accident. One other individual was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is expected to recover.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
