Wethersfield, CT (May 7, 2021) – Around 5 p.m. on the evening of Friday, May 7, a three-car accident took place on a highway in Wethersfield.

According to officials, the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-91 around the area of exit 28. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized but their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police were able to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
