East Hartford, CT (April 9, 2021) – At 1:49 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, April 9, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on a highway in East Hartford.

According to officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-84 around the area of Roberts Street. Two or more vehicles collided on the highway due to reasons that are not fully known. This led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
