Hartford, CT (May 17, 2021) – At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, May 15, a man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Hartford.

According to Hartford Police, the collision happened at the intersection of Garden Street and Liberty Street. A Yamaha motorcycle was traveling in the area when it collided with an Acura TL at the intersection.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 25-year-old Joshua Johnson, was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained severe trauma. He was hospitalized but was tragically pronounced dead at the hospital.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
