Bridgeport, CT – Car Accident on I-95 Near LaFayette Blvd

Bridgeport, CT (June 22, 2021) – Before 7 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, June 22, a car accident with injuries took place in Bridgeport.

According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of LaFayette Boulevard (exit 27). Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
