Bridgeport, CT (December 14, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. on Sunday night, December 13, a man was critically injured in a car crash in Bridgeport.

According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Noble Avenue. The accident involved two vehicles, which entered the intersection at the same time. It is believed that Ed Gomes, 84, was turning into the Kentucky Fried Chicken parking lot at the time.

Gomes sustained critical head injuries as a result of the accident and has since been in the hospital.

The other driver, identified as 19-year-old Clive Henry, was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Both vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident and had to be removed from the scene by wreckers.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
