Danbury, CT (June 17, 2021) – At 12:32 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, June 17, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Danbury.

According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-84 around the area of Old Ridgebury Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing a forceful collision. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their current conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time.
