Darien, CT (February 22, 2021) – At 6 p.m. on the evening of Monday, February 22, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Darien.

According to officials, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Boston Post Road. Few details have been released but police confirmed multiple vehicles collided in the area. The vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
