Enfield, CT (June 1, 2021) – At 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon, May 31, two people were injured in a motor vehicle collision in Enfield.

According to officials, the accident happened on CT-190 around the area of the Pearl Street overpass. Two vehicles collided head-on in the area for reasons that are not yet known. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person was seriously injured and transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of their life-threatening injuries. The other victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The roadway was closed in multiple lanes for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
