Fairfield, CT (January 21, 2021) – Earlier in the week, a serious three-vehicle crash with injuries took place on a Fairfield highway.

According to authorities, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 near a local Fairfield rest area. Few details have been released but, according to photographs at the scene, three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the crash. One driver was seriously injured as a result of the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their current condition is not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
