Hamden, CT (May 27, 2021) – At 7:28 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, May 27, a car accident occurred on a major highway in Hamden.

According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of CT-15 around the area o Whitney Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved were left extensively damaged.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with various injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
