Hamden, CT (January 18, 2021) – Around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, January 17, two people were injured in an apartment fire in Hamden.

According to local officials and the Hamden Fire Department, the fire broke out at 101 Kaye Vue Drive in a four-story apartment building. They have since discovered that the fire started in the kitchen area. 

Three members of a family who lived in the home were able to make it out of the apartment safely. Two firefighters received minor injuries as a result of the fire and were treated. They are expected to recover.

The area was blocked off for a period of time as fire crews brought the fire under control. 

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
