Hartford, CT (March 29, 2021) – Around 7 p.m. on the evening of Monday, March 29, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Hartford.

According to Connecticut officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-84 around the area of exit 48. The accident involved several vehicles that collided for reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to help at the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
