Hartford, CT (December 18, 2020) – Around 4:47 p.m. on Friday afternoon, December 18, a multi-vehicle accident took place on a Hartford highway.

According to local officials, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-84 around the area of Caya Avenue. Police confirmed that the crash took place when two or more vehicles collided with one another in the area, which led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash. One or more victims were injured as a result of the crash. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
