Manchester, CT (January 4, 2021) – Around 12:24 a.m., a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Manchester.

According to police, the collision took place at the intersection of Hartford Road and Rockledge Drive. Police confirmed that a Chevrolet Monte Carlo and a Chevy Blazer collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known.

Police confirmed that one of the drivers, who was identified as a 29-year-old Middletown man who initially fled the scene, was charged with drunken driving.

An adult female, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Her condition is not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
