Naugatuck, CT (June 15, 2021) – At 8 p.m. on the night of Monday, June 14, a woman was injured in a head-on collision in Naugatuck.

According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of New Haven Road. A Bethany woman was driving north on the roadway when her vehicle collided with another vehicle head-on due to unknown reasons.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The Bethany woman, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
