New Haven, CT (January 14, 2021) – Around 10:40 a.m on Wednesday morning, January 13, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in New Haven.

According to officials, the accident took place on I-95 around the area of exits 46 and 44. The accident happened between a car and a box truck. According to reports, the vehicle was unable to stop in time and slammed into the back of the truck.

New Haven Fire officials confirmed that at least one person was pinned inside their vehicle and had to be rescued. One person was transported to the hospital with injuries but is expected to be okay.

Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
