Seymour, CT (May 13, 2021) – At 6:50 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 13, a motorcycle crash involving a school bus took place in Seymour.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Scott Avenue and South Main Street. The school bus driver was headed west while the motorcycle was going south. The two entered the intersection at the same time, causing the forceful collision.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were present at the scene. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. One high school student on the school bus received a minor injury as well.

The driver of the school bus was cited for failing to grant the right-of-way.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
