Stonington, CT (March 31, 2021) – At 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 31, a truck accident occurred on a highway in Stonington.

According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Taugwank Road. A truck and at least one passenger vehicle collided in the area, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for an extended period of time.
