Vernon, CT (January 30, 2021) – Around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday morning, January 30, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Vernon.

According to officials, the accident happened when two vehicles collided at the intersection of CT-74 and Kingsbury Road. The vehicles involved were identified as a pickup truck and a Tesla, which collided after entering the intersection at the same time. Photographs taken at the scene showed the vehicles with heavy damage.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Three adults and one child were hospitalized with injuries. The driver of the Tesla had the most severe injuries and was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
