Waterbury, CT (December 9, 2020) – Around 5:48 p.m. on Wednesday evening, December 9, a multi-vehicle accident took place in Waterbury.

According to authorities, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-84 around the area of Route 8 when two or more vehicles collided with each other. The accident led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police were able to clear the scene.
