Weston, CT (January 25, 2021) – Around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, a bicycle crash took place at an intersection in Weston.

According to Weston County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Valley Forge Road and Old Stage Coach Road. Few details have been released but police confirmed that a bicycle and a passenger vehicle collided with one another, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital by Weston EMS for treatment of their injuries. They are expected to recover.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing at this time.
