Westport, CT (February 16, 2021) – At 11:42 p.m. on Monday night, February 15, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Westport.

According to police, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Saugtuck Avenue. Few details have been released but it is believed that multiple vehicles collided in the area. The vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
