Wethersfield, CT (June 23, 2021) – On Wednesday afternoon, June 23, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Wethersfield.

According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-91 around the area of exit 28. Three vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when they became involved in a collision. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The center and left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time until police cleared the scene.
