Woodbury, CT (June 3, 2021) – At 4:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, June 3, a two-car collision with injuries occurred in Woodbury.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of CT-6 and CT-61. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. Three people were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening in nature.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
